Alum published in book of survival

Dr. Paulis with Gloria Gaynor

Cynthia Paulis, DO, ’84, recently had an essay published in Gloria Gaynor’s book “We Will Survive.” Her essay of survival on Hurricane Sandy was one of 40 winners of a world wide competition that were included in the book.

Dr. Paulis is retired from medicine and is a fulltime writer. She is a frequent lecturer at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) and other organizations. She was ATSU-KCOM’s first female class president. She has also served in the United States Public Health Service.
