ATSU's Arizona School of Health Sciences offers a distance education programs for practicing healthcare professionals. The Advanced Physician Assistant Program offers both a masters' degree and a graduate certificate. The advanced Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is a 40-credit hour course of study.  The didactic portion of the program is 100 percent online. The only campus requirement is attendance at graduation once all coursework has been completed for the degree. This degree-seeking program is only available to physician assistants who have graduated from an accredited physician assistant program. For the PA without a bachelor's degree, a non-bachelor degree option is available (additional admission requirements apply).

Students in this program may choose from  two concentration areas:

  • Education and Leadership
  • Clinical  Medicine

In addition to the Master of Science degree, the Advanced Physician Assistant Program offers two Graduate Certificates:

  • Clinical Medicine
  • Education and Leadership

This certificate program is for individuals who want advanced training and education but do not wish to pursue a masters' degree. The graduate certificate programs are not limited to physician assistants, but are offered to any clinician (M.D., D.O., P.A., N.P., etc.) with a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
