With a unique curriculum and teaching model, SOMA emphasizes cutting-edge technology and individualized, active, self-directed learning.

In partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers, SOMA prepares service-minded students to meet the health care needs of society by placing them in medically underserved areas for their training.

Students invest three of their four years of training in community health centers located in underserved communities across the country, becoming selfless healers devoted to community service and healthcare access.

North Country Healthcare


North Country HealthCare provides access to affordable and quality healthcare across Northern Arizona. This nonprofit organization is based in Flagstaff and operates numerous clinics across Northern Arizona. North Country HealthCare understands the need for primary healthcare and offers a comprehensive variety of primary care and enabling community health center services.

Adelante Healthcare


Established in 1979, Adelante Healthcare is a federally funded community health center with eight primary care community clinics and a mobile health program. Healthcare services are provided to 30,000 individuals who are medically underserved residing in 95 percent of Maricopa County zip codes in Arizona.

El Rio Community Health Center is a primary source of accessible and affordable healthcare in Tucson, Pima County, and Southern Arizona. El Rio is an essential part of the growing community, taking care of the low-income population in this part of Arizona. El Rio’s 70,000 patients have access to primary care, obstetrical, medical, pediatric, adult, vision, laboratory, HIV, dental, homeless, pharmaceutical, among other services.

Family HealthCare Network (FHCN) is the first freestanding ambulatory healthcare center in Tulare County to be accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center


Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) addresses health disparities, improves population health, and reduces health inequalities despite financial and cultural barriers. Six primary care-oriented clinics offer family practice, pediatrics, women’s health, and internal medicine services. Emergency medical care, radiology, and laboratory services are also available. Serving as a national model for excellence in community-based primary health care, NNHSC is dedicated to serving in areas where there is an absence of basic services and healthcare resources. Programs are provided in nine comprehensive health centers and two supplemental nutrition sites.

HealthSource of Ohio is a not-for-profit, primary care, community health center providing medical, dental, and mental health services to medically-underserved communities. There are 15 HealthSource clinics focusing on the goal of bringing exceptional, quality healthcare to the Southwestern Ohio. Services include family practice, behavioral health medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and dentistry.
