Research Interests: Deb is interested in conducting interdisciplinary research ranging from field and laboratory based studies in Eco-epidemiology of vector borne diseases such as Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Southern Tick Associated Rash Illness (STARI), Heartland virus, and Bourbon virus. Current research initiatives include testing for transovarial transmission of Ehrlichia chaffeensis in Amblyomma americanum and land use effects on tick populations and their pathogens.
