Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs provides robust and centralized pre- and post-award services to University faculty, staff, and trainees—across all health professions schools, programs, and campuses. With offices on both ATSU’s Missouri and Arizona campuses, The Office of Sponsored Programs is staffed by a cadre of highly skilled grant professionals with expertise in proposal development and grants management compliance. This unique, service-oriented team supports faculty, staff, and trainees to elevate ATSU’s influence as an innovator and leading health sciences university, via funded grant proposals.

The Office of Sponsored Programs has a long and successful track record of helping to leverage and manage grant funding and sub-awards from agencies such as:

  • National Institutes of Health
  • Health Resources and Services Administration
  • U.S. Department of Defense
  • U.S. Department of Education
  • National Endowment for the Humanities
  • The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
  • Missouri Foundation for Health
  • American Osteopathic Association
  • American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services
  • Institute of Museum and Library Services

To date, this team has helped to leverage approximately 900 grant awards, worth over $100 million. With a funding rate far exceeding the national average, the Office of Sponsored Programs often helps ATSU’s principal investigators earn some of the highest scores in national grant competitions.
