Denise Sackett, DO, received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 1997 and her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. She completed a family practice residency at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and she is board certified in family medicine. After residency, Dr. Sackett opened a private family practice in Gilbert, AZ where she worked for 12 years serving the needs of the Gilbert community and precepting medical, NP and PA students in her clinic. She also volunteered at The Neighborhood Clinic in Downtown Phoenix, working with the underserved. In 2016. Denise joined ATSU as assistant professor of family medicine where she teaches first and second year students clinical didactics, facilitates in medical skills, leads small group discussions and serves in the family medicine clerkship.
