Research Interests: Dr. Brechue's research interests involve the following studies, which are conducted in the general population, athletes, elderly, and end-stage disease:

  • Musculoskeletal and neuromuscular aspects of human movement and fatigue
  • Structure-function asymmetry and variability in basic human movement and in    injury/surgery and rehabilitation
  • Role of posture and balance in physical function
  • Cardiopulmonary determinants of physical function
  • Determinants of muscular strength, power and running speed
