OSPD offers tailored assistance in scholarly writing, statistics, and research methods, augmenting the existing curriculum and University Writing Center (UWC) resources for current ATSU-CGHS students. Students who need help in these challenging areas can receive individualized support, ensuring they succeed in their academic journey. Our available services align with the ATSU-CGHS curriculum, providing seamless integration for both students and faculty.

• Scholarly writing support: We assist students in developing strong writing skills necessary for academic success.
• Statistics assistance: We provide guidance on biostatistics and data analysis for your research projects.
• Research support: We help with designing, conducting, and interpreting research.
• Research experience: We provide opportunities for students to assist faculty and/or more experienced students with their data collection, analysis, and/or writing for publication.

Collaborative course development

To enhance the student learning experience and ensure interprofessional engagement, OSPD provides ATSU-CGHS faculty-led oversight of shared curricula across multiple departments. This collaboration allows ATSU-CGHS to offer courses that meet program outcomes without duplicating resources.

• Interprofessional learning: Our shared courses, such as the college-level writing course for Health Sciences and Health Administration and the research methods course for DHSc and EdD programs, offer students the opportunity to work alongside peers from different disciplines.
• Collaborative learning and course delivery: By offering shared curricula, we ensure an interprofessional classroom environment led by accomplished faculty, ensuring meaningful learning experiences. This approach fosters collaboration between departments, interprofessional student collaboration and learning, and a more connected and cohesive learning environment for all ATSU-CGHS students.

Interdisciplinary research and grant initiatives

OSPD plays a pivotal role in fostering cross-department collaboration in student research, grant writing, and faculty-led curriculum development.

• Research collaboration: We facilitate opportunities for ATSU-CGHS students and faculty to work together on interdisciplinary research projects that align with the academic goals of the College.
• Grant support: Students are encouraged to participate in a faculty-led grant activity where appropriate, gaining valuable experience in academic research and funding initiatives. This collaborative approach strengthens the overall research output of ATSU-CGHS and enhances student engagement in scholarly work.
