Integrated Community Service Partnerships (ICSP)

Integrated Community Service Partnerships is an external clinical rotation for fourth-year A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) students with the purpose of supporting ATSU’s overall mission to educate compassionate community-minded oral health providers to lead the profession. One way our mission is accomplished is by offering this opportunity to our fourth-year students. This dynamic program is able to offer students and clinical sites the following:

Students

  • Students participate in four external clinical experiences with a total of approximately 24 weeks during the fourth year (37 percent of total clinical education)
  •
  • The clinical experiences are provided at over 60 sites which include community health centers (CHC), private non-profit organizations, Indian Health Services (IHS), Tribal clinics, veteran’s affairs clinics, and mobile dental clinics which allows the student to have a broad clinical experience and exposure to various models of community and public health dentistry
  •
  • Students immerse themselves in different cultures and socioeconomic environments providing preventive, restorative, and reconstructive procedures
