Missouri Smile Forward: Greatest Need

Missouri Smile Forward® is an uncompensated care fund created to provide oral healthcare services for patients with little or no dental insurance benefits and who demonstrate financial need. Allowing patients the option to keep their smile through funding assistance for dental restorative services is at the heart of the Smile Forward® program.

Restricted funds will be applied to pediatric patients only. By offering funding assistance for those most in need of oral healthcare services, ATSU-MOSDOH students will obtain the variety and number of patient encounters needed to become the best and brightest dental professionals of tomorrow, while also increasing the overall health and wellness of the greater St. Louis community.

St. Louis Dental Education and Oral Health Clinic: General Operations

This game-changing clinic will provide oral healthcare for the St. Louis region’s most underserved patients while engaging and training a new generation of dental professionals. With an anticipated opening of June 2015, the St. Louis Dental Education and Oral Health Clinic will build toward impacting an estimated 9,390+ new patients, resulting in over 39,000 annual encounters with vulnerable children, adults, special needs patients, and others. The vast majority of the 9,390+ active patients will be gaining new (or significantly expanded) access to oral healthcare. In order for this to be possible, ATSU-MOSDOH must raise funds yearly for the general operating expenses within the clinic [i.e. equipment, supplies, office staff and faculty salaries, etc.].
