EMAIL

Each student has an ATSU email address upon admission. Student email is accessed via myATSU (https://my.atsu.edu). Email is the primary method for the University to communicate with students. Students are required to monitor their ATSU email on a regular basis and keep their in-boxes from filling up. Students may forward their ATSU email to a personal email account.

IDENTIFICATION CARDS (return to top)

Students are required to have a student I.D. card. The initial card is free. Replacement cards are $10. I.D. cards are used for library book check-out, equipment check-out, and as an I.D. badge while on campus and clinical rotations. I.D. cards are processed during new student orientation.

PARKING (return to top)

Parking is available free of charge to all ATSU-Mesa students. Students are issued parking decals at orientation. Students may register more than one vehicle. Motorcycle parking is also available on a first come-first serve basis.

Parking is NOT allowed in the dental clinic's parking lot. This lot is reserved for patients, senior dental students and clinic faculty and staff.

DINING SERVICES (return to top)

Straight A Coffee shop is located in the student lounge (1st floor) and provides a full coffee service, refreshments and hot/cold lunch items. Pre-paid cards are available for purchase. They also accept cash or personal check. The shop is open from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Straight A is also available for catering services on and off campus.

There are several restaraunts within a short distance of the campus offering everything from fast food, smoothies, sushi and bagels.

SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS (return to top)

ATSU values the health of all students, faculty, and staff. ATSU–Mesa is a tobacco-free campus. Smoking and smokeless tobacco products are not permitted in any areas including parking lot, grounds or building.

The State of Arizona is also a smoke-free state! No one may smoke inside public buildings or within 30 feet of the front door of a building.

COMPUTING SERVICES (return to top)

On-site IT assistance is available for all students. The IT offices are located on the first floor next to the student lounge. Online help is also available via email at helpdesk@atsu.edu

PRINTING ON CAMPUS (return to top)

Students are alloted 3,000 sheets per academic year. The printers are located in the student lounge on the first floor. Printing problems should be reported to the IT office. Additional sheets may be purchased by bringing a check to Student Services (5 cents/sheet).

COPY SERVICE (return to top)

A copier is located in the Learning Resources Center (1st floor). Copies are 5 cents each. Copy cards may be purchased from the LRC service desk. All funds from the copier machine are allocated to the SGA general fund.

CAMPUS SAFETY (return to top)

Facilities personnel maintain the campus buildings and grounds with concern for safety and security. The campus is well lit. Campus security cameras are monitored by closed-circuit television. Campus buildings are unlocked and locked daily by facilities personnel and are checked throughout the day and evening.

BUILDING HOURS (return to top)

All students, faculty and staff are required to wear their issued identification badges at all times.
They are required to sign in after hours and on weekends. After hours are considered time before 6:30 a.m. and after 5p.m. Visitors must always sign in at the front desk and wear a visitor's badge. Anyone not in compliance is asked to leave the campus.

The campus is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am until 11:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 noon until 11:00 pm. Holiday closures will be announced via email.

CAMPUS POSTING POLICY (return to top)

Students, faculty and staff are provided with areas to post information. All students must obtain approval from the Student Services office prior to posting any information on campus. Students may also post electronic announcements on the student forum (https://my.atsu.edu, under “My Tools” – “Forums”) The Student Services office moderates the student forum. Unacceptable postings will be removed from the forum and a warning will be issued.

LOST AND FOUND (return to top)

A lost and found box is kept in the reception area. Lost items are turned into the receptionist where they are held for 30 days.

RESERVING CAMPUS FACILITIES (return to top)

Officially recognized student groups can use campus facilities for activities and fundraisers.To request a room reservation, complete the Events Form PDF and submit to the Office of Student Services for approval. For additional details, policies and procedures, see the SGA web page.
