DAT Life Moment | Kimberly M.

Shadow

As I began my clinical career as a preceptor, I knew I wanted to bridge the gap to the educational side and be able to teach. After talking to mentors who had graduated from the Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) program at ATSU and doing some research, I realized this program was a great fit for me.

At ATSU, I could continue to work in the setting I love while pursing my doctorate. The DAT allows me to create a track of learning that best fits what I want to focus on in my career. This program understands the life of being an athletic trainer and works with you, supports you, and helps you continue your education on top of balancing work.

A.T. Still University is tirelessly working to help develop advanced leadership in athletic training. The skills I am currently learning and will continue to learn have been applicable to my day-to-day practice in patient-centered care.
