When I started the DAT, I had a one-year-old at home and was married to a collegiate basketball coach. I honestly did not have time for the DAT program, but I knew I was stagnant in my career and I needed to ignite a fire in me to pursue more. I had been working in the clinical setting for five years and I felt like I had reached my peak within the hospital setting. The DAT lit a flame inside me and sparked a passion for athletic training that I didn’t know existed. I was honestly debating changing career paths before beginning the DAT.
