Throughout the Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) program, I have been able to apply lessons from each class directly to my practice and change my daily routines for the better.
I have been able to edit policies and procedures to make them more streamlined and improve patient experiences. I have incorporated patient-reported outcomes with more patients to better demonstrate change over time so both the patients and I can track even small improvements as successes. I have been able to hone my skills in reading imaging to better be able to help patients make sense of the images they are seeing and make better use of the fluoroscope in my practice.
Finally, I have been able to connect with many other athletic trainers who share my passion for this field and reignite my passion for it daily.
