Becoming one of the first DAT graduates in the world was such an exhilarating experience. I have taken it on as a personal challenge to find new and exciting ways for athletic trainers to be perceived. I work hard to show young professionals that they can be empowered and follow their dreams.
Annually, I host a women’s mentorship mixer during NATA convention week. This year, due to the pandemic, it was online. My most recent DAT Moment has been the last few weeks since the mixer. I have received so much positive feedback and encouragement from my peers and those who mentor. I am enjoying better work-life balance. I have my dream job as an athletic trainer in professional sports. I am looking forward to continuing to develop as a mentor, clinician, and business owner. I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be and without the DAT, my life would be completely different.
