Exemplifying the Spirit of Our Community . . . Volunteers
& Community Leaders
Young and old alike, they make our community a better place for all. They are people with whom you work, go to school, and share leisure time within our community. All around us are people who do amazing things to help Kirksville and Northeast Missouri grow and prosper. Whether through civic, professional, or volunteer efforts, these individuals are actively engaged in making our community a better place for all and their efforts exceed the requirements of their day-to-day responsibilities.
Since 2005, ATSU has been honored to recognize outstanding community members whose actions embody our founder, Dr. Andrew Taylor Still’s leadership and spirit of volunteerism through the Still Spirit Awards. Like Dr. Still, these individuals possess a willingness to get involved; an unselfish giving of oneself; an ability to lead others; and a desire to enhance the quality of life in our community.
But, we can’t do it without you. Your nomination(s) help us learn about these fascinating individuals and allow us to recognize them for their significant contributions to building community.
Join ATSU in celebrating exceptional people in our community – submit your nominations today.
NOTE: Prior Still Spirit Award recipients, and current ATSU employees and students are not eligible for nomination.
How to Submit Your Nominations
Submit your nominations online. A statement of support is required for each nomination citing specific examples of the efforts, activities, organizations, and accomplishments in which the nominee is involved.
