Lee Kapp, PhD
Dr. Kapp received his bachelor of arts in Biology from the University of Chicago and his PhD in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty at SOMA, he was engaged in post-doctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania investigating genes required for germ cell viability and early embryonic development in zebrafish, a well established vertebrate genetic model organism. His academic interests include cell and developmental biology, as well as human genetics, and he is continually striving to impart to his students the excitement of Biology. His extracurricular activities revolve around astronomy, cycling, and his three sons.
