ANNUAL & RECREATIONAL EVENTS
NEMO Triathlon - ATSU co-coordinates this regional triathlon with a local radio station, KRXL. For the past 23 years this ¾-mile swim, 18-mile bike, and 5-mile run has attracted athletes from several states as well as many ATSU students. www.nemotriathlon.org
Rotator Cuff - A medical school basketball invitational tournament, coordinated with the Student Government Association (SGA).
Student Leadership Workshop - Mandatory student organizations seminar to provide an overview of planning/organizing events and the liability/risks related to events.
Twilight Run -ATSU has worked with the Adair County YMCA for over 25 years to provide a fundraising 5k, 1mile, and Tot Trot to promote healthy family fun running.
Founder's Day Run - A 5k run and 1.5-mile walk, coordinated by a student organization (Physicians for Social Responsibility - PSR) to help celebrate ATSU's Founder's Day, with a local charity benefiting from the proceeds. Held on Founder's Day Saturday.
Reindeer Romp - This 4-mile and 1.5-mile run is a fundraiser for the ATSU second year class.
Osteopathic 5 and 10 k Runs - For over 25 years, this Student Associates Auxiliary (SAA) coordinated event benefits Osteopathic Research and Grants.
Recreational activities - TCC offers each recognized student organization a Rec Night and coordinates Parents Night Out several times during each school year, a bowling night, bike tune-ups, organized nature hikes, dance, golf instructional opportunities, a swimming night, and a spring float trip to southern Missouri.
