AuD Life Moment | Dr. Jennifer G.

Shadow

After practicing in various clinical settings for 22 years and private practice for eight years, I decided that, with my 30 years of experience, I should earn my AuD.

Going back to school in my 50s was scary, but I was supported by my family and the practice I was in. Two years later, I walked across the stage after earning my Post-Professional Doctor of Audiology at A.T. Still University (ATSU) and was called doctor for the first time. My heart almost burst.

After I left my position at the private practice, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at a university (because of my degree from ATSU) which has been the culmination of my career. I love supervising and teaching. The process of getting my doctorate was so worth it, both personally and professionally.
