An endowed scholarship is a fund created by a donor to A.T. Still University in the amount of $25,000 or higher. Scholarships can be created with a single donation or with annual contributions to the scholarship over the course of 1- 5 years.

How a Scholarship Works

Once fully funded, the scholarship's available funds are made in financial award(s) to student(s) who meet the criteria established in the scholarship guidelines. The student financial services office manages these finanical awards and notifies the students regarding available scholarships and encourages them to apply for them. Each spring the Scholarship and Awards Committee selects the recipient(s) based on applicable criteria..

?Current University endowment spending policy directs the annual endowment spending rate will be within a range of 2% to 4% of the market value of the moving 12-quarter average. Annually the administration will determine the percentage for the spending rate within the parameters of the range. At no time will ATSU spend any portion of the corpus of permanently restricted endowment funds. This policy will allow the endowment to grow, thus producing increased financial support in future years while adjusting for inflation. ATSU follows the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act as adopted by the state of Missouri. This policy is subject to change by action of the Board of Trustees.
