Complaint History


A nasal discharge and slightly sore throat began about 3 weeks ago. The nasal discharge is yellowish in color. A severe cough began about 3 days ago. The cough is minimally productive of a yellow to clear sputum. The cough is worse at night. The medicines she has been taking do not seem to be helping (Robitussin DM, Alka Seltzer Plus, and Claritin). She denys dyspnea, orthopnea, and sharp chest pain after coughing paraoxysms. She mentions two recent episodes with similar signs and symptoms. One resolved on its own the other required her to visit a physician. Three different unknown medications were perscribed.
