Alpha Phi Omega (APO)
Alpha Phi Omega (APO) is a national service fraternity that has provided more than fifty years of service to the Kirksville community. This coed fraternity was founded on the principles of the Boy Scouts of America and provides service in four major areas: service to the fraternity, service to the University, service to the community, and service to the nation as participating citizens. As one of its longest-standing service projects, APO has offered reduced-rate microscope rentals. The proceeds from this are used for many campus projects, including the purchase of exercise equipment, sponsorship of visiting speakers, and making donations to other campus organizations. APO members have opportunities to take part in each of its cardinal principles: Be a Leader, Be a Friend, Be of Service.
