Purpose

The Above and Beyond Humanitarian Award is to recognize ATSU students, faculty, staff, and administration who provide a deed, service, or act that demonstrate caring, compassion, or support of another person or group beyond what might be typically expected.

Eligibility

Any current ATSU student, faculty, administrator, or staff member

Criteria and Nomination

Nominations may be made anytime by contacting the Vice President for Student Affairs via letter or email. Letters from the Arizona campus can be taken to the Student Affairs Office for delivery to the Missouri campus.

Nominations will be made based on a specific good deed, act, or service provided by a person to another person or group that would be considered "Above and Beyond." Simply doing one's job in an exceptional manner may not be selected.

Criteria are purposefully vague to encourage a variety of nominations based on a variety of services benefiting the ATSU community.

Recognition

Each recipient will receive an "Above and Beyond" recognition pin as well as a news release Iconnect. Recipients on the Missouri campus will be notified by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Recipients of the Arizona campus will be notified by the Office of the Assistant Vice President- Student Affairs.

timelines

Awards will be made on an ongoing basis and presented to the recipient in an appropriate manner and setting.
