Welcome

Gaylah Sublette MBA Associate Vice President Sponsored ProgramsOn behalf of our team of seasoned grants professionals, welcome to ATSU Sponsored Programs (SP). ATSU has a service-oriented, dynamic, and productive Sponsored Programs team ready to assist you! We hope that the information presented herein “sets you up for success” to seek, compete for, win, and effectively manage sponsored program funding.

In an effort to elevate ATSU’s contributions and influence as a preeminent health sciences university, the SP office works to advance the University’s mission, strategic directions, and priorities through the acquisition of extramural grants and contracts (i.e., for innovative research; service, training, and educational projects; and related health care initiatives).

ATSU defines a sponsored program as an exchange transaction between a funding source and the University. Under such an exchange, the funder typically “invests” in a desirable project with promising outcomes to be implemented by the applicant principal investigator/project director (PI/PD), which is most often an ATSU faculty member or dean. SP funding at ATSU is generally used to investigate, demonstrate, and/or implement innovative scholarly ideas, training projects, or public health and welfare initiatives. For more details on what qualifies as a sponsored program at ATSU, please refer to ATSU General Order 20-119: Proposal Classification Policy, or contact nga@atsu.edu.

The award-winning SP team proudly serves all ATSU schools and campuses. We customize our services to each individual PI/PD. Our primary service audience is ATSU’s faculty and deans, and our secondary service audience includes the University’s administration; full-time professional staff; and affiliated residents, interns, and students working with faculty sponsors. For more information about SP services, please visit the ATSU portal or contact our office at x2860.
