Dr. Terry Der is currently an Associate Professor at ATSU-SOMA. He attended St. Louis University, where he received a degree in Neurobiology, after which he was an Academic Fellow at Washington University Medical School in the Department of Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Der has been teaching for 11 years, with expertise in the areas of Neuroanatomy, Neuroscience, and Gross Anatomy in the Basic Science Curriculum. He also possesses research interests in the areas of both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease, and has been published in such major journals as Neurology, Experimental Neurology, the Journal of Neuroscience, and the Journal of Neurochemistry.
