Dr. King is Past President and Fellow of the American Academy of Osteopathy. He is Course Director for the Year Two OPP curriculum. Dr. King is editor and contributor to The Science and Clinical Application of Manual Therapy (2011-Elsevier). Dr. King is an active clinical researcher and has published research on the benefits of prenatal osteopathic treatment, the impact of osteopathic treatment on immune system function, and research supportive of cranial bone motion. 

Dr. King is a graduate of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and maintained an osteopathic manipulative medicine practice in San Diego, CA for 22 years. He has served on the OPP faculties of the Western University of Health Science College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and the Texas college of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to joining the ATSU-SOMA faculty Dr. King served three years as the Associate Executive Director of the Osteopathic Research Center on the campus of the University of North Texas Health Science Center in fort Worth, TX
