J. Aaron Allgood, DO
Dr. Allgood is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He graduated from Des Moines University in 2004 and graduated from Wright State University and Wright-Patterson Medical Center internal medicine residency program in 2007. After residency, Dr. Allgood took the position of Chief Resident for the combined air force and civilian residency at Wright State University. As a Chief Resident he was involved with the teaching and supervision of students and residents in both the outpatient clinic and inpatient services. In 2008, Dr. Allgood transferred to Luke AFB in AZ to provide care to retired veterans in the internal medicine/cardiopulmonary clinic. In 2010, he was promoted to clinic director and in the same year was the medical director of a triforce (military) humanitarian mission trip to Haiti. At Luke AFB, he also functioned as an allergy extender as well as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor. In 2013, Dr. Allgood became a full-time assistant professor at A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. Dr. Allgood is co-director for the first-year medical student courses: Renal, Endocrine, and Metabolism. He is also the director of small group’s curriculum and facilitation for the first and second-year medical students courses. In addition, he also serves as a medical skills facilitator, student advisor, and member of a variety of committees at SOMA.
