Faculty

The faculty of the School of Health Management (SHM) are dedicated instructors who have been carefully recruited to meet/exceed our programs' academic goals and mission to educate health managers.

Having diverse academic and working backgrounds in the management and health fields, 85% of our instructors hold doctoral degrees. Academic areas of interest include health care law, the economics of medical care, organizational theory and its affects in the health industry, health policy, the financing of health care, effectiveness/cost-benefit analysis in the health care industry, health information systems, quantitative methods, and management science.

It is the intent of SHM and its faculty to maximize the educational experiences and opportunities for students. As a graduate school, SHM expects its students to take an active role in managing their learning and career path. Faculty support students through e-mail, chat, forum postings, and phone. They serve as facilitators and mentors, assisting students in meeting objectives, applying key concepts to real-world situations, and developing the skills needed for success as a manager in the health care industry. SHM faculty members look forward to this challenge and to your academic success.
