Please make sure that you read all instructions on the
application. Also make sure that you sign and date the application before
sending. It is a good idea to make copies for yourself before sending.
After filling out the forms
and submitting them to their proper recipients, you must also submit:
three (3) self addressed, stamped postcards along with your
application form. These postcards are for our verification process to ensure
that all required documents, verifications, and information are accurate,
complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
AIGC must receive your completed Tribal Eligibility
Certification (TEC) directly from the Tribal Enrollment Office or Bureau of
Indian Affairs. A Tribal Eligibility Certificate, or other tribal document,
completed or forwarded by the applicant will not be accepted. AIGC will accept
Tribal Eligibility Certificates faxed from the tribal office to meet the
deadline, but the original must be forwarded to AIGC. AIGC reserves the right
to validate all enrollment.
NOTIFICATION OF AWARDS/DENIALS: Fellowships are awarded
annually in August for the current academic year. All applicants are notified
by mail of award or denial. Information concerning your award or denial will
not be given over the phone.
AUTOMATIC DENIAL: All parts and requirements of the
application process must be adhered to including meeting all deadlines for the
applicant to be eligible.
