An affiliate of the Advocates to the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA) and Auxiliary to the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (AMAOPS), SAA is comprised of spouses, significant others and families of student doctors and biomedical science students, who share the common goal to support and promote the osteopathic profession.

Additionally, SAA promotes the osteopathic profession through a variety

Run, and its Holiday Festival of Trees raised funds for the pediatric
wing at Northeast Regional Health Center, Women's and Childrens Support
Center and Christmas gifts for underserved children.
There is a lot to feel good about as a member of SAA.
Ambassadors of the osteopathic profession
SAA members support the osteopathic profession by educating themselves
and the community about osteopathic philosophies and its rich history,
and understanding the distinctiveness of osteopathic physicians. This
increased awareness enables SAA members to promote osteopathic medicine
and the American Osteopathic Association as the source of information
on osteopathic medicine.
A Standing Engagement
SAA meets the first Thursday of each month in the Mehegan Classroom on
the campus of ATSU Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Childcare
is provided free of cost. Other activities are held at various times.
Times and locations are posted in the monthly newsletter.
