Dually accredited residencies in Family Practice (ACOFP and ACGME) We have eight positions per year. 

Salary Information:

Residents are employed by the University of Wyoming

Population: 50,000   * Elevation: 5,123 feet
Second Largest city in the state of Wyoming

The city of Casper is home to four golf courses and was recently named one of the top 100 places to live..  In addition to golfing, Casper offers  state- of- the- art whitewater kayaking on the North Platte River.  If downhill skiing is for you, Hogadon Ski Area offers over fourteen trails.  Casper Mountain also has excellent cross country skiing.  The city has 42 parks, a large recreation center, ice arena and indoor aquatics center, and over15 miles of outdoor walking paths. The city also offers nine family sports leagues featuring 500 teams and more than 5,260 players. 

Other Perks:

Residents are given meal allowances at the teaching hospital and lunches are always provided for our weekly didactic lectures.  Residents and/or spouses receive free credit hours with Casper College and the University of Wyoming Extension services.

What makes your program unique?

We are a true rural track program, with opportunities in Wilderness and International medicine. Our program is partnered with a community health center, and we are sponsored by the state.
