NRMP: (National Resident Matching Program)
Osteopathic students may participate in the allopathic National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), however PGY-1 positions available through the NRMP often do not fulfill the requirements for osteopathic licensure, especially in the states of Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. If you want to participate in the allopathic Match, you do so as an "independent applicant" and communicate directly with NRMP.
