Individual hospital training programs are accredited by the AOA and respective specialty colleges as described in Basic Documents for Postdoctoral Training and the respective specialty college handbook. Furthermore, the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the Bureau of Health Professional Education of the AOA and the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
