Position Requirements:
- Education and Experience - Applicants must have an earned D.O. degree from a COCA (Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation) accredited college of osteopathic medicine (COM), have AOA board certification (C-NMM/OMM or C-SPOMM) and have demonstrated leadership experience in academic and clinical medicine. - Other - Applicants should exhibit the professional, moral and ethical characteristics appropriate for a physician and medical school faculty member. The applicant should find the small community lifestyle to be attractive.
The Department: The Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine consists of 8 faculty members, 4 OMM residents, and 4 undergraduate fellows. Several members of the department are actively engaged in osteopathic research funded by the KCOM Strategic Research Initiative and by the American Osteopathic Association.
