Postgraduate opportunities are abundant in the Michigan Region. KCOM sponsors 40 internship positions within the St. John Health System. In addition, numerous other internships, residencies, and subspecialty fellowships exist in the Michigan Region through the Statewide Campus System.

The region has monthly educational days and guest speakers. Students also attend morning reports and noon conferences at each base hospital and have access to various workshops and labs, such as, suture clinic and casting clinic. Students will meet with the Associate Dean and Assistant Deans at their site for oral case presentations and journal club.

It is preferred that students not contact the individual hospitals directly. Rather, questions regarding the Region and hospitals should be directed to members of the On-Site Administration for the Region.
