Federal Work-Study
A student interested in work-study must fill out the FAFSA need analysis to determine eligibility. If eligible, the student completes the work-study application forms and meets with the supervisor to discuss hours, start date, etc.
Work-study earnings are considered a part of the total financial aid package. If the student earns $1,000 in work-study, that $1,000 cannot be awarded in other financial aid, such as loans. The student must complete all forms before beginning work. All work-study positions pay $7.00/hour. Students are responsible for keeping track of the amount worked so they do not go over their award.
