Western Interstate Commission
for Higher Education (WICHE)
(PA, OT, and PT programs only)
A.T. Still University of Health Sciences participates in the Professional Student Exchange Program administered by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), under which legal residents of western states without a public professional school in this field may receive preference in admission and reduced tuition at this institution. To be certified as eligible for this program, the student must write to the WICHE Certifying Officer in his/her state of legal residence for the program application form. The number of students to be supported in each state in this field depends upon state appropriations. Arizona Loan Repayment Program (PA Program Only)
Purpose: To provide an incentive for primary care providers and dentists to provide services in the underserved areas of the State. Program funds are used to repay qualifying educational loans in return for primary care service provision in federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs).
Eligibility: Arizona licensed and/or certified physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, certified nurse mid-wives, and physician assistants. General Practice, Family Medicine, Dentistry, OB/GYN, Pediatrics or Internal Medicine are required specialties.

USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships
USA Funds will award more than 2,100 new, renewable USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships to qualified students nationwide for the 2007-08 academic year. In addition to the new scholarships, USA Funds will award renewal scholarships to previous recipients who qualify.
The program offers $1,500 scholarships to qualified full-time graduate and professional students. Applicants for the scholarships must be enrolled or plan to enroll in coursework at accredited two-or four-year colleges, universities or vocational/technical schools beginning with the fall-2007 term through Feb. 1. 2008. The program assists students from households with annual incomes of $35,000 or less.
