–Line up all of
the data points in increasing order.
–The one in the
middle is the median.
–If there is no clear single mid-point (i.e. there is an even number of data points), the median is half-way between the two middle points.
•So if 0, 1, 2, 4
were our data set, 1.5 would be the median.
