Available to students in residential and online studies, the Learning Resource Center (LRC) focuses on developing an extensive, integrated online collection of Evidence-Based resources.  Accessed via this Web site the LRC’s online full text collections include over 2000 journals, over 200 reference and textbooks, and point of care products.  The LRC is also an active participant in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.

New Link to Audio-Digest Pod Casts has been added on the right under LRC Services!

New Evidence / Library Information Service for Alumni!

ATSU believes that the clinicians’ access and use of best available evidence is a core component of the quality of care the clinician can deliver. Our goal is for our Alumni to continue accessing the best available evidence as you did when you were students.

Therefore the Libraries of A T Still University are pleased to announce the release of the initial A. T. Still Alumni Knowledge/Library Support Web Page located on the my.ATSU.edu portal. To sign up for this service go to www.atsu.edu/alumniportal/ to retrieve your ATSU access.

On the my.ATSU.edu portal, Alumni will see an Alumni Link on the menu on the left. Click on it and then on the Alumni Library link to access the new site.  The page includes links to information resources, an introduction to evidence-based medicine, and PubMed (database of journal articles).  The page also includes links to informational guides to help you navigate the resources.

For a bookshelf of clinical texts, check out StatRef with over 60 clinical text and reference books including Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, Rudolph's Pediatrics, Hurst’s The Heart, and Therapeutic Modalities in Rehabilitation. Dental Alumni check out our StatRef Dental titles and LEXI-COMP Online for Dentistry.

To access journal articles, the alumni page includes the premier of a new service at ATSU:  Loansome Doc.  Loansome Doc provides a method for ordering the full text of journal articles found in PubMed. Your ATSU Libraries (A.T. Still Memorial Library for Kirksville Alumni and the Learning Resource Center for Mesa Alumni) will provide you up to three articles full text per month at no charge with a nominal charge for additional items.

If you are an ATSU Alumni and have any questions or need any assistance please contact the Learning Resource Center in Mesa at 480-219-6192 (lrc@atsu.edu) or the A.T. Still Memorial Library in Kirksville at 660-626-2336 (jsidwell@atsu.edu).
