Available to students in residential and online studies, the Learning Resource Center (LRC) focuses on developing an extensive, integrated online collection of Evidence-Based resources. Accessed via this Web site the LRC’s online full text collections include over 2400 journals, over 550 reference and textbooks, and point of care products. The LRC is also an active participant in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. |
LRC launches LRC Mobile
The LRC has just aunched its new mobile access page. You can now access StatrRef, MDConsult/First Consult, Rehabilitation Reference Center, CINAHL, Sport Discus, and PubMed directly from your cell phone. Just bookmark the ATSU portal, log in, click on LRC-Mesa on then click on the LRC Mobile link. Shortly there will be a direct link from the ATSU portal home page. Try it out and share any feedback or questions with the LRC staff.

LRC launches its Clinical Search page!
This search page enables you to simultaneously search StatRef with ACP Pier (ACP's clinical point of care tool), MDConsult's First Consult clinical point of care tool and the medical reference books from MDConsult. Thus this search tool enables you to find quick, accurate answers to clinical questions.
A link to Clinical Search is located in the Quick Links menu on the left.
Try it out and let the LRC staff know how useful this new tool is. As always if you have any questions or need any assistance please contact the LRC staff.

PubMed now has a new interface!
The National Library of Medicine has totally changed the PubMed interface. Be sure to check out both the basic page and the Advenced Search page. For more information on the new interface go to this article which describes the changes to the PubMed interface.

The LRC has just added new study guides from the McGraw Hill First Aide exam preperation series.
Guides for the COMLEX and the USMLE Step 1 exams have been added to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program page and the Guides for the NBDE Part I and Part II exams has been added to the Dental Program page.
