Garageband (Apple) Audio creating and editing tool.
Camtasia

Camtasia Studio is used to capture screen activity with your narration and save it as a recording that students can play back. It also offers the ability to edit the video and audio after it has been recorded. The recording can then be saved in a variety of formats depending on how you will make them available: network, CDROM, or streaming via the Internet.

Respondus

Respondus is a tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to your WebCT course.

Articulate

Articulate Studio is a suite of E-Learning software applications that can turne PowerPoint presentations into online, interactive presentations.  The suite enables you to add audio narration, live web content, assessment, video, and interactive content in a self-contained package using Flash technology.

Plagiarism detection software that enables faculty members to check student assignments to identify of documents located with similar or identical text passages.
Turning Point

‘clicker’ response
system
A system for obtaining immediate feedback in a group setting.  Each particpant is given a remote ‘clicker’ which they use to answer presenter questions in the classroom.  Use of the system is integrated into PowerPoint presentations. System is checked out from the LRC.

Collaboration tools

Google Sites

Google program enabling faculty and students to create quick, easy collaborative web sites.  With Google Sites, you can quickly gather a variety of information in one place -- including videos, calendars, presentations, attachments, and text -- and easily share it for viewing or editing with a small group, an entire organization, or the Internet.

As a best practice, when using Google Mail, Calendar, Docs, or Sites, we recommend logging into your ATSU GMail account as a first step. This will authenticate you to all of Google's services and allow you to move throughout them seamlessly.

Classroom capture tools

Echo360

    Echo 360 reliably captures class lectures and converts them into podcasts, video, rich media, and more for anytime, anywhere playback.  ITS is installing the system in Cougar, Mesquite and Ironwood classrooms on the Arizona campus as well as a mobile unit that can be used in any room.  The system will automatically record in-class lectures and graphics and post them for student access.

Learning Object Repository

    The ATSU Equella LOR is a depository for classroom online content. The LOR is projected to play a significant role in academic computing support as its role as a repository of ATSU Faculty- and Staff-produced course content and related resources grows.

iChat (Apple)

iChat is an instant messaging application that works with AIM or MobileMe accounts.

Skype Skype is software that enables individuals and businesses to make free video and voice calls, send instant messages and share files with other Skype users.
Elluminate Live!

Elluminate Live! offers a real-time, interactive online meeting that replicates the dynamic interaction of an on-site meeting with 2 to 100 participants. Features include integrated audio and video conferencing, PowerPoint slides with animation, real-time feedback, whiteboards, and text chat. For access and support contact the LRC staff

Sightspeed

SightSpeed is a provider of Internet video chat, voice calling and video conferencing solutions for businesses.
