Professional Development
Clinical Anatomy Review and Neuroanatomy Handson Lab: Alumni are welcome to return to the anatomy lab to see the new additions: additional space, video projection of dissections and demonstrations, and the cadaver lift. This session will provide attendees with the opportunity to review basic central nervous system anatomy with a focus on the brainstem, cerebrum, meninges, ventricular system and neurovasculature. A lab worksheet will be used along with brain models, brain specimens (sagittal slices, coronal slices, and horizontal slices), and skulls to study the anatomy and to cover pathways for the auditory system, vestibular system, and visual system. Participants may be able to observe a dissection and will be given information regarding upcoming CME dissection classes.
Presenters: Tabitha Parent Buck, Au.D., ASHS audiology chair, and Sue Hillman, M.S., M.A., ASHS associate professor of interdisciplinary health sciences.

Tai Chi: “Tai Chi and Chi Gung Meditative Movement as a Therapeutic Modality:” Learn basic principles of Tai Chi and Chi Gung meditative movement exercises and how to apply them in therapeutic practice. Background principles of traditional Chinese medical system and philosophy and their relation to Western medicine will be discussed. The focus will be on learning therapeutic applications of Tai Chi and Chi Gong exercises. Ideas on how these exercises and principles may be adapted to a variety of therapeutic purposes will be discussed.

Personal Development
The Learning Resource Center (LRC): Alumni attendees will learn how to access the free online resources from the LRC. The LRC has set up an Alumni Library web page to support alumni’s access to evidence in support of the quality of care they provide.

Reaching Your Financial Objectives in Turbulent Times: This informational seminar is designed to cover relevant financial issues relating to you and your family. Topics that will be discussed include debt reduction, insurance, investments, income tax planning, and estate planning.
